Former Kent State offensive lineman Josh Kline signed a free-agent contract with the Patriots Saturday night, not long after the conclusion of the NFL Draft.
“[New England] contacted me, saying they were one of the teams looking at me to sign right away after the draft was over,” said Kline, a second-team All-Mid-American Conference selection last year. “I had five offers on the table, and New England was giving me the highest number. So I went with them right after the draft.”
The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder played right guard during his last season and a half with Kent and will work at guard and center with the Patriots.
