Senior Hannah Stroe continues to be a key softball player for Nordonia, which is 14-5 overall and atop the Suburban League with an 8-1 conference record. She entered Thursday 12-4/13-3, with a 1.43 ERA and 122 strikeouts in 117 1/3 innings pitched. She has a .339 batting average with 19 hits in 56 at bats, one home run and 14 RBI.



“Hannah is a 4.1 GPA student with an academic and athletic scholarship to play softball at Ashland University,” Nordonia coach Amie Cormell said.



Stroe has played a big role in Nordonia winning six out of its past eight; topping Field, Green, Mentor, Cloverleaf once each and Revere twice recently.



Junior Natalie Spadaro is hitting .364 with 14 RBI, and sophomore Madi Filakosky has a .322 on-base percentage for Nordonia, which will host Wadsworth on Monday and then play at Tallmadge on Tuesday and at Green on Wednesday.
