A day after winning the high jump in the men’s decathlon, Kent State freshman Jacob Mally turned in another solid performance on the second day of the event to finish in seventh place to lead the Golden Flashes at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

Mally finished second in the 110 hurdles, fifth in the pole vault, fifth in the javelin and fourth in the 1500 to finish with a score of 6,486 in the two-day event.

Sophomore Rachel Banks finished in ninth place in the women’s 800 unseeded. Banks crossed the finish line in 2:10.41, with senior Lauren Burnett in 20th with a time of 2:13.17.

The Drake Relays continue on Friday with men’s and women’s track and individual field events.
