The Mid-American Conference announced Thursday some starting times for University of Akron and Kent State football games for the upcoming season.

Fox will host the Zips’ opener against Nebraska from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln at 8 p.m. Sept. 1. Their first home game against Morgan State on Sept. 8 will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+, the network’s recently launched streaming platform.

UA will receive more national exposure on the Big Ten Network from Northwestern’s Ryan Field in Evanston on Sept. 15 when they play the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The Zips’ homecoming game and MAC opener against Miami will air at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 6 on ESPN+, and either ESPNU or CBSSN will air their game against Northern Illinois at 7 p.m. Nov. 1.

The Golden Flashes will receive their share of national exposure, also.

They play at noon Sept. 1 against Illinois on the Big Ten Network. The following week, they will play Howard at 3:30, followed by a Sept. 15 game with Penn State at noon on FS1.

The Flashes return to ESPN+ for a 3:30 p.m. game Oct. 6 against Ohio. They then will appear on ESPN2/ESPNU at 8 p.m. Oct. 30 against Bowling Green. At 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6, Buffalo will host Kent State on ESPNU, and on Nov. 15, Toledo will come to Dix Stadium for a 6 p.m. game on CBSSN.

Times for all other games for both teams are to be determined.
