• Monday — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Watercraft is sponsoring an Ohio Boating Summit on the campus of the Ohio State University. The event runs 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center, 2201 Fred Taylor Drive, Columbus. Cost is $25 per person or $10 for students. Group rates available. HUNTER ED

Those purchasing an Ohio hunting license for the first time must complete a hunter education course. Additionally, Ohio hunters seeking licenses in other states may be required to show proof that they completed such a course. There is no charge. For more information, call 800-WILDLIFE.
