Kent State shortstop Jimmy Rider had two hits and drove in three of the teamís four runs as the Golden Flashes defeated Western Michigan 4-0 Saturday at Schoonover Stadium.


Second baseman Derek Toadvine scored two runs with a hit and walk.


KSU starter Ryan Bores (5-2) pitched the first six innings, giving up four hits, no walks and striking out four.


Brian Clark pitched 2? innings, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out three to earn his third save.


The teams wrap up the three-game series at 1 p.m. today at Schoonover.
