Storylines: A night after scoring 16 runs in a thrashing of the Bowie Baysox, the RubberDucks were at it again, totaling 13 hits and jumping out to an 8-0 lead by the third inning. Recent call-up Shawn Morimando earned a win in his Double-A debut, striking out six in six scoreless innings, walking one and allowing five hits.

Quick hits: Ronny Rodriguez continued his recent hot streak, racking up four hits on three singles and a double. He drove in a run and scored three. Tyler Naquin also reached base four times on two singles, a double and a walk. He drove in a run and scored once. Tony Wolters also reached four times on a single and three walks, scoring three runs and driving in two.
