Zach Plesac allowed three hits in six innings and combined with two relievers to shut out the Curve on Tuesday in an Eastern League game in Altoona, Pa.

Plesac struck out four and did not allow a walk en route to his second win of the season. Nick Pasquale worked the seventh and eighth innings and did not allow a hit, and Argenis Angulo shut the door on the Curve in the ninth for his fourth save of the season.

The game was scoreless until the Ducks (31-21) took a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning on Sam Haggerty’s bases-loaded walk.

The Ducks added two more runs in the eighth inning. Andrew Calica singled to score Ka’ai Tom and Connor Marabell sacrificed into a double play to score Calica to give the Ducks two insurance runs.

The Ducks play the Curve on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and close out the three-game series on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

The Ducks host the Erie SeaWolves this weekend at Canal Park.
