RubberDucks 4, Flying Squirrels 3

Going for their fourth consecutive win, the RubberDucks almost gave the game away in the seventh inning. With the Ducks ahead 4-0, the host Flying Squirrels scored three times off Ducks starter Jake Paulson and reliever Rob Kaminsky.

Paulson was charged with all three runs, and Paulson went on to pitch a scoreless seventh before Henry Martinez came in to earn his ninth save with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

The Flying Squirrels got all three of their hits off Paulson (5-3), who struck out three in his six innings.

The Ducks maintained their Eastern League Western Division lead. The Squirrels are in fourth place, nine games behind the Ducks.

Ducks third baseman Joe Sever went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Connor Marabell hit a solo home run, his ninth, in the fourth inning to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead. The rest of their nine hits were all singles.
