The first-place RubberDucks won their second consecutive road series, using three two-run innings to win Sunday in Portland, Maine.

Joe Sever hit his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the third inning, to give the Ducks a 2-0 lead.

Ka’ai Tom followed with his sixth home run, a two-run shot in the fifth that made it 4-0.

The Ducks scored two more in the seventh when the first three batters to face Portland reliever Trey Ball each singled to load the bases. One out later, Sever doubled to score Tyler Krieger and Tom.

Now hitting .301, Sever drove in four runs and is second on the team with 33 RBI.

Ducks starter Sean Brady (3-3) struck out seven and gave up five hits and one run in 6⅔ innings.

Sea Dogs starter Dedgar Jimenez (1-5) suffered the loss.
