A six-run first inning set the tone for the RubberDucks in a lopsided victory on the road against the Erie SeaWolves.

The Ducks started things off with a double from Erik Gonzalez. Adam Abraham then reached first base on an error by SeaWolves shortstop Dixon Machado, scoring Gonzalez from third. After two consecutive singles from Bryan LaHair and Anthony Gallas, designated hitter Tony Wolters hit a sacrifice fly to center field, bringing in Abraham. Ducks catcher Alex Lavisky followed suit with an RBI single of his own that plated LaHair. The next at-bat, Jordan Smith hit a three-run homer to right field, capping off an explosive inning for the Ducks.

The Ducks added on two more runs in the second inning on a two-run home run by Gonzalez.

Wolters hit an RBI single in the fifth inning, giving the team a 9-1 advantage.

SeaWolves center fielder Jamie Johnson plated his teamís lone run in the first at-bat of the game with a solo shot to right field.

Ducks starter Will Roberts earned his eighth win. The right-hander pitched seven innings, allowed one run, and struck out five.
