SeaWolves 1, RubberDucks 0

Corey Jones singled to right field to score Grayson Greiner in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a scoreless tie and lift the host SeaWolves over the RubberDucks on Tuesday in Erie, Pa.

Ducks’ starting pitcher D.J. Brown allowed four hits and struck out three through five innings before reliever Cole Sulser allowed the game-winning run in the seventh. Sulser took the loss, his third of the year.

SeaWolves starting pitcher Tommy Collier allowed two hits through eight shutout innings for his seventh win. Joe Jimenez worked a perfect ninth inning with three strikeouts for his sixth save of the season.

Todd Hankins doubled and Daniel Salters singled for the Ducks, who were 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position and left two men on base.

The Ducks continue their four-game series against the SeaWolves at 7:05 p.m. Friday. The Ducks return home on Monday to host the Altoona Curve.
