Sophomore Tyler Skulina dominated for eight-plus innings to earn his team-leading sixth pitching victory as the Kent State baseball team completed a weekend sweep with a 7-1 triumph over Western Michigan Sunday at Schoonover Stadium.

The Golden Flashes (27-17, 15-3) were led by Nick Hamilton, who was 4-for-4 with two RBI. T.J. Sutton, George Roberts and Alex Miklos each drove in a run.

The weekend series win allowed Kent State to maintain its hold on first place in the race for the conference’s regular season championship and No. 1 seed in the MAC Tournament, which will be held May 23-26 at All-Pro Freight Stadium in Avon.
