A Cleveland man faces charges of providing heroin to a Wadsworth woman who died of a heroin overdose in December 2014.
Michael J. Swank, 36, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs, aggravated drug trafficking and heroin trafficking in Medina County Common Pleas Court.
Swank was indicted in January, but was arrested mid-June in Manatee County, Fla. He’s being held at the Medina County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
According to police reports, 29-year-old Ashley Cumberledge died of a heroin overdose on Dec. 12, 2014. Swank was among a number of people at the Wadsworth home where Cumberledge died. Police, after a year-long investigation, reported they determined Swank provided the heroin to Cumberledge.
