Central Florida cornerback Josh Robinson

How he did it: Robinson posted a time of 4.33 seconds in the 40-yard dash, finishing first among all players this year at the combine. He also tied Georgia Tech wide receiver Stephen Hill for the best overall performance in the broad jump (11 feet, 1 inch). Among cornerbacks, he took first in the three-cone drill (6.55 seconds) and second in the vertical jump (38˝ inches).

Quote: “[The NFL Draft advisory board] told me I wouldn’t be drafted in the top three rounds. So that gave me motivation,” Robinson said. “That made me want to prove that I could be drafted higher than that and do better than what some people believe I can.”
