Person(s) — other than parent(s) — who were biggest influence on you and why: My biggest influence is Isabel Cuellar, my aunt. She has taught me how to be strong in the face of adversity, how to welcome those who are marginalized in society with open and loving arms, how to place the needs of others before my own. Also, how to see the bright side of every situation.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In 10 years, I see myself graduating from medical school as a pediatric neurologist, and volunteering in the Peace Corps Global Health Service Partnership.

“If I were president, I would ...” strive to reduce inequality by ensuring everyone has access to affordable medical care, equal employment opportunities, affordable and safe housing, and healthy food options.

Favorite high school memory: My favorite high school memory was during Relay for Life when my school community joined together as one to honor those who have won and lost their battles with cancer.
