Franklin Elementary students involved in the Pint Size Heroes program have been honored by the American Red Cross with a special assembly to recognize their ten years of participation.
Pint Size Heroes is a community service project created by the Red Cross to help teach children about the importance of donating blood. Students who participate volunteer at blood drives and talk to parents and other adults about donating blood on their behalf.
All eight school buildings are currently involved in American Red Cross blood dries, and three consolidated donation dates have been set:
Nov. 4 from 2 to 7 p,m. at Franklin Elementary
January 28, 2014 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Overlook Elementary
March 25, 2014 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Valley View Elementary
