Ohio activists will hold a public forum on "Radioactive Frack Waste" on Nov. 12 in Columbus.
The program will begin at 7 p.m. at the main branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 96 S. Grant St.
Speakers include Dr. Yuri Gorby of Rennsselaer Polytechnic Institute, Julie Weatherington-Rice, attorney Terry Lodge, Teresa Mills of the Center for Health and Environmental Justice and Brian Kunkemoeller of the Sierra Club.
The concern is that Ohio rules permit low-level radioactive waste to go into Ohio landfills and injection wells.
