Where: 1662 Medina Road (state Route 18) in Sharon Township.

Cost: $28 for three haunted attractions.

Dates: Friday and Saturday nights Sept. 28 to Nov. 3 and every Sunday night from Oct. 7 through Oct. 28. Open Halloween night.

Theme: Participants first take a 1-mile haunted hayride through 58 wooded acres. Next attraction is the quarter-mile Night Stalker's Trail. The final stop is the Mortuary Haunted House.

Hinckley’s Haunted Barn

Cost: $20.

Theme: A cult has taken over an old barn.

Nightmare in the Wilderness

Where: 7665 Lafayette Road (state Route 42) in Lodi.

Cost: $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 6 to 10.

Dates: Friday and Saturday nights from Sept. 28 to Oct. 27.

Theme: Participants ride a hayride for half a mile through an apple orchard and make their way back by foot encountering the spirits of the "Smith" family who were slain on the property.

Slaughter House

Where: 5665 Chippewa Road in Chippewa Lake.

Cost: $20.

Dates: Friday and Saturday nights to Oct. 28. Open Halloween.

Theme: Walk through a haunted house set in the Karver family's Chippewa Meat Factory. Townsfolk have been disappearing and some suspect things are amiss inside.

Zombie Paintball at Mapleside Farms

Where: 294 Pearl Road, Brunswick.

Cost: $18 per rider includes 100 paintballs. An additional 100 costs $10.

Dates: Friday and Saturday nights through Oct. 27.

Theme: Participants climb aboard wagons to shoot paintballs at zombies leftover from a World War II military experiment that went awry.

Theme: Two walk-through haunted attractions. Established in 1974, this is regarded as one of the best haunted attractions in the nation and among the oldest.
