O-H! Do I have a wine for you! It's the perfect gift for any Buckeyes fan. Kosicek Vineyards owner/winemaker Tony Kosicek recruited grapes from the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in Ashtabula for his Urban and Urban Reserve cabernet franc. Kosicek and Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer played high school baseball against each other back in the day. Kosicek at Geneva High, and Meyer at Ashtabula St. John's. "We're definitely a fan of Urban Meyer," said Kosicek. "He's done a lot of good things for our area and for St. John's. We tried to do something that looked like Ohio State, but didn't."

The Urban label depicts the Columbus skyline within an outline of the Buckeye State. Like Meyer, the wine itself is a winner. The cabernet franc won a silver medal at the Great American International Wine Competition. I still can't believe these grapes were grown in Ohio. Delicious wine! Pick up a bottle of Urban for $21.55, or Urban Reserve for $28, or call the winery (440-361-4573) and have one shipped to you (only in Ohio). Sip on this great wine, watch the Rose Bowl, and talk about Urban legend.

(Ziggy Zumba! Meyer's first head coaching job was at BGSU, my alma mater.)
