Authors at library: The Cuyahoga Falls Library brings in local writers for “Authors at the Falls” beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a talk and demonstration on printmaking; Gail Ghetia Bellamy, author of “Cleveland Food Memories,” 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Susan Terkel with “From Idea to Manuscript,” 1 to 3 p.m.; and Les Roberts, author of 17 novels about Cleveland detective Milan Jacovich, 3 to 4 p.m. Register at 330-928-2117.

 

3. All Aboard: There will be a two-day All Aboard the Akron Express event Saturday and Sunday in the Akron Children's Museum at Lock 3. Tickets are $12 and include a variety of train-related activities and displays and a round of indoor miniature golf. Home Depot is offering a Make and Take Workshop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

5. Catch the buzz: Get ready for next weekend’s Buzzard Day in Hinckley with a talk from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Park in Twinsburg. Participants will learn more about the turkey vultures and Ohio's role in the folklore about the bird. There will also be a live turkey vulture on hand. The park is at 9999 Liberty Road in Twinsburg.
