LeBron James has been named to Time’s 100 Most Influential People list for the fourth time.
In the article, available on Time.com and in the magazine, Warren Buffett, chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, praises “his leadership skills, his sharp mind and his ability to stay grounded.”
The billionaire investor and philanthropist says “LeBron has justified the adulation of millions and millions of young people, thanks to his ability to live up to enormous expectations on the basketball court, his business successes in Hollywood and media, and his new I Promise School for disadvantaged kids in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.”
He concludes, “As great as he has been so far — on and off the court — you’re just seeing the start of LeBron.”
James was also named to the list in 2005, 2013 and 2017; fellow Akron native and poet Rita Dove wrote the tribute.
The annual list includes political and social leaders, artists, innovators and other prominent figures. Read the entire list at http://time.com/collection/100-most-influential-people-2019/.
