QUICK TAKE

Salute to "Laugh-In."

Monday mainstay: Seven years before "Saturday Night Live" debuted, there was "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In." The zany, vaudeville-meets-the-1960s sketch show was a ratings smash, and cultural juggernaut, airing Monday nights on NBC from 1968 to 1973.

Career-launcher: Dan Rowan and Dick Martin co-hosted the show, which launched the careers of Lily Tomlin, Goldie Hawn, Judy Carne, Artie Johnson and many more. The show included super-quick one-liners, nonsense jokes, "Mod" parties, "Sock it to me" segments and the coveted "Flying Fickle Finger of Fate Award."

Still laughing: A new special now on Netflix reworks some classic sketches from the original show with lots of funny folks, including Tomlin (and fellow original cast members Ruth Buzzi and JoAnne Worley), along with Snoop Dogg, Billy Crystal, Tiffany Haddish, Jay Leno, Rita Moreno, Rob Riggle, J.B. Smoove and others.
