Maxxdout American Stout is back.

Yellow Springs Brewery says the beer — a big 11.2 percent alcohol by volume — will be released in 22-ounce bottles at the taproom starting at 1 p.m. Nov. 30. Bottles will go for $25.

The brewery used the same recipe as the 2016 version, which was named the best Ohio-made stout at the King of Ohio beer competition in 2017. Maxxdout was aged in Stillwrights Distillery bourbon barrels for seven months.

“It’s an excellent beer to age in the bottle for a couple years, but it’s great fresh, too,” head brewer Jayson Hartings said in a prepared statement. "Big beers like this are perfect in the winter — to stay in and share with someone over the holidays.”
