Jo is amazing with attendance, especially in keeping our kids safe and honest. She has a kindness about her and a great sense of humor that she employs when speaking with parents and students.

Kim is an advocate for students and a true believer in teacher development. She works tirelessly to make sure our teachers are supported and are continually strengthening their instruction and meeting the needs of our kids.

 

Kelly Smith, Coventry Local, transportation supervisor

Kelly supervises transportation to approximately 1,305 students in our districts to and from school, as well as extracurricular activities. She is in early in the morning and her day does not end until well into the afternoon.

 

Melanie Brown, Twinsburg City, district receptionist

Overall awesome person. Never complains and goes above and beyond as needed.

Volunteer for the district. Always available to help assist with whatever the district needs.

 

Cathy Hupcej, Hudson City, head custodian at McDowell Elementary

Cathy takes on many roles at McDowell Elementary. She goes above and beyond to make McDowell a safe and happy place to learn together. She spends time getting to know the students and making everyone feel special with a kind word, a note, or a gesture.

 

Laura Jones, Hudson City, community leader, co-chair of Hudson Community First, and VIP school volunteer organization.

Laura is a difference maker. She dedicates so much of her time and talent to make Hudson a better place by supporting the school and community initiatives.

 

Sue Hennigin, Springfield, custodian

Sue goes above and beyond her custodial duties by transforming Schrop Intermediate School every month with her holiday themed displays for the students. Her love for students and staff shines through in everything she does.

 

Danielle Starkey, Springfield, assistant principal 7-12

Danielle came to Springfield three years ago. She has a reputation of caring for the students while holding them accountable. This year, she has started our POPS program, which recognizes prepared, optimistic and productive students.

 

Tym Tagliaferro, Archbishop Hoban, dean of students

As dean of students, “Mr. T” creates genuine, authentic relationships of mutual respect with Hoban students. He shows his dedication to students daily with his unwavering presence at so many school functions, and is known for his willingness to help any student who walks in his office.

 

Leanne Virgin, Norton City, educational assistant at Norton Middle School

Leanne has purchased classroom supplies for her students in need and instructional materials that she feels will enhance the education of her students. She has also provided clothes to the students with whom she works. She wants them to feel confident in their appearances when their family finances may be strained.

 

Dennis Oswald, Norton City, assistant principal at Norton Elementary School

Dennis has spent the majority of his career at Norton City Schools and emulates what it truly means to "Protect the Pride." He is an alumni, former mathematics teacher, and now an assistant principal.

 

Maria McNulty, Tallmadge City, kitchen manager

Maria makes every child who goes through the cafeteria line feel loved. She sets an example for not only the children that she serves, but the adult staff as well.

 

Courtney Davis, Tallmadge City, K-5 principal

Courtney is currently the principal of two buildings and she is working with her staff and students to bring them all together next year. Working with over 1,000 students, she makes sure that each one of them is set up for success.

 

Loralee Daily, Manchester Local, secretary to the athletic director and assistant principal

Works above and beyond. Works athletic events and community adult assistance in technology and coaches kids in the system.

 

Rachel Willis, Manchester Local, director of curriculum

Works with all district staff in areas of professional development as well as bringing programs to all district students. Always works to assist in each building and grade level with new and innovative ideas.

 

Elizabeth Hinkle, Revere Local, education assistant

Elizabeth is amazing and so valuable to the classroom. She provides care and support to the children she serves and works extremely well with her teacher colleagues.

 

Doug Faris, Revere Local, assistant principal at Revere High School

Doug has served as the assistant for two years now and the building has not missed a beat. Doug is an integral part of the leadership team and extremely well-respected by the teachers, students and families he serves.
