COPLEY — The idea for the community project encompassed two simple words, Peace Out. The words are now on signs that mark a path in Copley Community Park's trail system.
At a board meeting earlier this week, township trustees commended Copley Fairlawn High School sophomore Virginia Williams, 15, for the idea and her work on the project. She proposed the project this summer to trustees who approved it.
Williams is a member of local Girl Scout Troop 968. With Williams' father, Mike, and mother, Heather, looking on, Board of Trustees President Scott Dressler said he hoped her signs would encourage park visitors on the trail to slow down and meditate on their walks.
