MEDINA — The city school board has approved plans to expand he Medina Community Recreation Center, the Medina Gazette reports.

The $750,000 project, which involves a 4,836-square-foot CrossFit-like fitness center, still needs approval by the city, the newspaper said. The district and city partner on the facility.

“This will bring additional benefits not only to our community but to our students as well as we do use the facility largely for some of our physical education classes,” Superintendent Aaron Sable said, according to the newspaper.
