A former Kent State University student was arrested Monday night and charged with a rape that occurred on campus in April.
Connor Hendry, 20, of Stow, was indicted in January on charges of rape, sexual battery, abduction, gross sexual imposition, sexual imposition, solicitation and unauthorized use of property.
Tricia Knoles, community resource officer for the Kent State University Police Department, said Hendry is a former Kent State student who is no longer allowed on university property.
The 20-year-old victim was Kent State student at the time of the incident and knew Hendry, Knoles said.
The incident took place at a Centennial Court residence hall on April 22, according to the cover sheet of the police report, which was released by the Kent State Police Department. A copy of the police report was not made immediately available by Kent State police.
After his arrest, Hendry was released on bond. A jury trial is scheduled in Judge Laurie Pittman’s court for April 16.
A call to the attorney for Hendry listed in court documents on Tuesday was not immediately returned.
