Saucy Brew Works plans to open a brewpub in Columbus.

The Cleveland-based brewery posted a message Tuesday (Feb. 5) on Facebook saying it's looking to a hire a general manager for "a growing production brewery/restaurant in Columbus."

"This position will be in charge of operations at Saucy Brew Works first physical location in Columbus, Ohio," a job posting on the brewery's website says.

It's unclear where the brewery would be located or when it would open.

Co-founder and brewmaster Eric Anderson couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Saucy — a brewery-artisan pizzeria concept designed to model the award-winning Pizza Port in San Diego — opened in 2017 in Cleveland's Hingetown neighborhood just around the corner from Great Lakes Brewing Co. and Market Garden Brewery.

Saucy not only operates a brewpub, but also a production brewery that distributes its beer in cans.

It's not the first brewery in Ohio to open a location in a new city. Cleveland-based Platform Beer Co. has opened sites in Columbus and Cincinnati, while Akron-based Thirsty Dog Brewing Co. has opened a site in Cleveland and Cincinnati-based Bad Tom Smith Brewing opened a Cleveland brewery. Royal Docks Brewing Co., which is based in suburban Canton, also recently said it would like to open in downtown Akron.
