Actual Brewing has closed its Clintonville brewpub until further notice, according to a posting on the company’s Facebook page Friday.
The decision comes a little more than a month after the pub opened at 2808 N. High St. The 2,200-square-foot space featured Actual beers and food provided by Alana Shock, the former proprietor of Alana’s restaurant in the University District.
The announcement to close the pub came less than a week after Columbus Alive, a sister publication of The Columbus Dispatch, published a story detailing multiple allegations of sexual assault against Actual Brewing founder Fred Lee. The brewery said it is investigating the allegations.
Several restaurants and retailers stopped carrying Actual beers because of the allegations.
