CANTON — Malone University is adding cybersecurity as an undergraduate major.
"Cybersecurity is an important area of study in a new and growing field," computer science professor James Glasgow said in a prepared statement. "This new major will provide many opportunities for our students as well as employers who are looking for expertise in computer security.”
Students also will develop an ethical code of conduct that reflects the mission and values of Christian faith, the university said.
High school students wanting to know more about the field can attend Malone’s inaugural Cybersecurity camp scheduled for June 24-27.
