What is the most rewarding part of your position? Helping students mature and learn throughout their high school years while working with my colleagues and parents in making that happen!

What is the most challenging? Trying to address every issue that comes to me in the RIGHT way and keeping up with paperwork.

If you weren’t doing this, you’d be? A football player for the Cleveland Browns (if I would have had the speed, height and talent).

Tell us something about the students you deal with that most people don’t know or appreciate. They are extremely considerate and giving kids. So many of our students will go above and beyond to help others. There are so many examples over the years of students turning in $20 bills found in the hallway or getting involved to defuse a conflict or report a wrong!

How do you unwind after a long day at work? Joking around with my family, playing with the dog and working out with my kids!

The students and co-workers would be surprised to know that ... I was an art major (graphic design) in college before I became a social studies teacher and football, track coach.

What is the one responsibility about your position you didn’t know existed before taking it? The amount of “other duties as assigned” and various state initiatives.
