Joellen Coughenour, Barberton City, Barberton High School, lead custodian for second shift
As the lead custodian for the second shift BHS, Joellen takes ownership of the high school. Her drive and commitment to the building has helped keep the building look new and has reduced maintenance and repair costs. She takes time to train new employees and creates a family atmosphere among the custodians.

Kay consistently goes above and beyond to provide support for and collaborate with all the classroom teachers and students. She is always looking for new ways to improve internal systems and is always willing to help with new school initiatives.

Mr. Stuart continuously gives of his time and expertise to teachers in every grade level K-12 at Nordonia. His leadership and selflessness is inspirational and instrumental in moving school and district initiatives forward.

Joe takes pride in each bus and the safety of each bus, driver and student. When Joe is on his way to get a bus to service it, each bus he passes he constantly is checking the tires and touching the buses to make sure everything is secure. He is also willing to jump on any bus to cover any route.

Devon McAfee is a pleasure to have on staff and a true blessing to all of our students. Devon works in our Discipline Education Alternative room and helps many of our students with credit recovery. He also coaches three sports at our high school. With that in mind, no one puts in more time and gives back more of themselves on behalf of our kids than Coach Dev. We are thankful to have him as a Comet.

Debbie is an outstanding support staff member working as a student aide for the past six years at Manchester Middle School. She goes above and beyond just helping students who are at risk but also has been working to coordinate the drug free program (PANDA) as well as the after-school ski club for students.

Under Scott's direction the school has put into place a 1:1 computer initiative for students in grades 9-12. Scott also has enabled the district's web page that keeps all parents, staff, students and community members up to date as to school functions and activities.

Mrs. Gregory greets all staff and students with a wonderful smile each day. There is not a day that goes by when she is not listening, supporting, lending a helping hand, or laughing alongside the students while she works at Norton Primary School.

Officer Samples spent 90 minutes of his day working with a fifth-grader on a classroom assignment. That time spent with a young student may just be a changing moment in his life; Officer Samples stepped in and decided to care and support not only the student, but the teacher as well.
