Akron police are investigating the stabbing of a 19-year-old woman at a car wash on Vernon Odom Boulevard about 1:30 p.m. Friday.

The woman told police two women approached her at the car wash, one whom she knew, and they agreed to fight. During the fight, one of the women pulled out a knife and cut her on the arms and head, she reported. The two women then fled, police said.

The woman followed the women she fought with, who picked up a man. The man reportedly fired a shot at the woman’s vehicle. She then stopped her pursuit and drove to a friend’s house. Her friend drove her to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, where she was treated for injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

No charges have been filed. The stabbing remains under investigation.
