Michelle Obama's 'Becoming'

tour stops in Cleveland

Former first lady Michelle Obama appeared at KeyBank State Theatre at Cleveland's Playhouse Square on Saturday as part of her tour, "Becoming: An Intimate Conversation With Michelle Obama."

Obama’s book, "Becoming," shot to the top spot on the New York Times bestseller list after one week, according to tour producer LiveNation.

The Cleveland appearance was one of 21 in North America and Europe.

Each stop featured moderators "in conversation" with the former first lady. Cleveland's moderator was Carla Hall, chef and co-host of ABC's "The Chew."

Fans honor Ginsburg's

birthday with exercise

Fans of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg celebrated her 86th birthday by exercising in front of the high court.

The court's oldest justice has become known for her workouts, which include push-ups and planks.

On Friday evening, fans filled the sidewalk in front of the court and sang "Happy Birthday" while holding the plank.

Ginsburg's longtime trainer, Bryant Johnson, led the exercise. He said Ginsburg worked out Thursday night, and she told him to tell the crowd that for the first time since she underwent surgery for lung cancer in December, she has "been able to do the planks the correct way and the push-ups."

YouTube star to host

late-night TV show

NBC is shaking up late-night TV, giving Carson Daly's slot to a woman of color who's a star on YouTube.

The network said last week that a new show, titled "A Little Late with Lilly Singh," will air at 1:35 a.m. EDT beginning in September.

In a statement, Singh called the prospect of being an Indian-Canadian woman with her own late-night show "a dream come true."

Her acting credits include HBO's movie "Fahrenheit 451," "Bad Moms" and "Ice Age: Collision Course."
