BATH — Trustees recently approved the sale of a 1.4-acre, triangular piece of land at the intersection of Cleveland-Massillon and Ghent roads for $390,000.

According to township officials, the buyer, Tom Giltner of Stonemill Real Estate LLC, will work with Bath zoning personnel to ensure proposed development plans, as yet to be announced, will meet township appearance and size regulations. The two parcels included in the sale are zoned B-1 Gateway Business District.

Bath purchased the property for $316,500 in December 2010.

A small part of the parcel was given to Summit County to create a right-hand turn lane from Cleveland-Massillon onto Ghent to alleviate traffic issues.
