Postage stamp to honor

late George H.W. Bush

The U.S. Postal Service will issue a stamp honoring former President George H.W. Bush.

The Postal Service said Saturday that the commemorative Forever stamp featuring Bush will be issued on his birthday, June 12. A first-day-of-issue ceremony will be held that day at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas.

Bush died in Houston on Nov. 30 at age 94. The nation's 41st president served from 1989 to 1993. Bush, who was a World War II hero, also served as Texas congressman, CIA director and Ronald Reagan's vice president.

Hannah Gadsby plans

new US comedy tour

Hannah Gadsby is following last year's breakout Netflix stand-up special with a new U.S. tour that has stops in San Francisco and ends in New York this summer.

The Australian comedian's show "Douglas" had its world premiere in Melbourne, Australia, in March and Gadsby will take it to America.

The Australian standup was little known in America when her Netflix special "Hannah Gadsby: Nanette" arrived in June, dissecting culture and the very art form she practices. She was heralded as a major new voice and her work was labeled "transformative" and "game changing."
