Early voting is underway for Ohio's May 7 primary election.
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose of Hudson, who oversees elections in the state, cast his in-person absentee ballot Tuesday at the Summit County Board of Elections to kick off the 28 days of early voting.
Registered voters can cast their ballots from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through April 26.
Early voting hours will be expanded to 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays from April 29 through May 3.
Elections boards also will open the weekend preceding the primary, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 4 and 1 to 5 p.m. May 5.
Hours are shortened to 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 6, the day before the election.

Portage County: 449 S. Meridian St., Room 101, Ravenna.
Medina County: 3800 Stonegate Drive, Suite C, Medina Township (Off Pearl Road behind Hobby Lobby and Litehouse Pools).
Wayne County: 200 Vanover St., Wooster.
