BREWSTER — The Minerva-based Consumers National Bank is opening a new full-service branch at 210 Wabash Ave S in the village.

It will be the bank's 15th branch. Consumers National anticipates that banking operations at the new Brewster office will begin in May.

“Opening this new office in Brewster will enable Consumers National Bank to serve new personal, business, and agricultural customers in southwestern Stark County, as well as Holmes, Wayne and Tuscarawas counties," bank President and CEO Ralph Lober II said in a prepared statement. "By opening a branch in Brewster, we are demonstrating our commitment to bring community banking to under-served, but viable markets."

Johanna Lyon has been named the Brewster relationship manager.

The Brewster facility includes a traditional bank lobby, two drive-up teller lanes, safe deposit boxes, night depository and an ATM.

Consumers National was founded in 1965. It now has branches in Stark, Carroll, Columbiana, Jefferson and Summit counties. The bank said it has $528 million in assets and is the largest bank headquartered in Stark County.
