Phoenix Brewing Co. is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a five-day celebration.

The events kick off Tuesday (April 23) at the Mansfield brewery with a special barrel-aged beer school followed by two beer releases, off-site tastings and an all-day party Saturday featuring more than 30 beers, two food trucks and live music.

Here's the rundown of anniversary activities:

• With the traditional fifth anniversary gift being wood, Phoenix is offering a barrel-aged tasting of limited release beers such as Black Aggie Russian Imperial Stout and Surly Gnome Winter Warmer, both aged in Buffalo Trace barrels; Santa Muerte Spiced Imperial Chocolate Stout aged in tequila; and Orange Eyes Pumpkin Ale aged in a rum barrel. The beers will be available at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the school and again Saturday. Reservations are required for the school, which is $40.

• The brewery will release two new beers on tap — Century IPA Batch 007, a Brut-style IPA, and Dark Lylith Imperial Chocolate Stout infused with orange and vanilla — starting at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

• DLX Catering and Events in downtown Mansfield will host a beer tasting at 5 p.m. Thursday with proceeds benefiting The New Store, a nonprofit that helps Richland County youth. The event is sponsored by Mansfield OH Networking.

• The Phoenix beer garden will open Friday for the season. Grant’s Guac and Roll food truck will be there, and Charles Geil & His Ghost Band will perform at 8 p.m.

• The anniversary celebration week culminates with the party beginning at noon Saturday. There will be more than 30 beers available, including one-off infusions and a limited amount of specialty bottles. Live music begins at 2 p.m. and there will be food trucks. Meanwhile, Black Bird Bakery and Buckeye Bakery will provide a cake. The cake is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute.
