Bookhouse Brewing wants to honor saisons.

The Cleveland brewery will host "Grande Fête Saisonnière" — a celebration dedicated to farmhouse ales, saisons, bieres de garde and grisettes — from noon to 4 p.m. May 26.

In addition to Bookhouse beers, the event will showcase brews from Butcher and the Brewer, Brick and Barrel, Terrestrial, Noble Beast, Jolly Scholar, Akronym, BottleHouse, Jackie O's and Saucy.

Bookhouse co-founder and brewer Vaughn Stewart organized the event because he's a saison fan.

"Saison, farmhouse, biere de garde, they are a style of beer that I personally really enjoy drinking and brewing, and a lot of brewers, especially in this area have similar feelings," he said.

Stewart said he hopes the event exposes beer drinkers to a style they may not have tried before.

"Maybe they'll find a style they enjoy," he said.

Tickets are $35 in advance or $45 the day of the event. Tickets will include a waffle made to order by Waffle Bar.

Bookhouse hopes to host such events every quarter featuring Ohio breweries.
