The Original Dan's Dogs Diner is giving away a chance to win free hot dogs for a year during the grand opening celebration of its new location in Brook Park.

The Medina-based Dan's Dogs bought The Place To Be Diner & Deli at 5751 Smith Road in the Bookgate Shopping Center and will host its grand opening May 17. Everyone who arrives before noon will be entered into a raffle and 52 people will receive a free hot dog every week for a year.

The Place To Be name will be updated to Dan's Dogs Diner, but the original menu will stay the same, owners Jason and Dana Graf, John and Randi McCale, and Jose Inglett said in a news release.

"Along with all of our original hot dog creations, we are bringing some new choices for shakes and other treats, but we will stay true to The Place To Be tradition with our own unique additions," Randi McCale said.

The new location will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.

"We have perfected so many hot dog creations over the years and now we're really looking forward to giving away those 52 free hot dogs-for-a -ear certificates," John McCale added.
