This week's Movies@Main is M. Night Shyamalan’s “Glass.” The free showing will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Akron-Summit County Public Library in downtown Akron. The movie stars Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and James McAvoy.

 

Special zoo time

Historically calm

There will be Yoga on the West Terrace of Stan Hywet Hall in Akron at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Instructors from Yoga Barre & Lounge in Hudson will lead all levels of vinyasa flow yoga practice. After the class, participants can stroll through the gardens and conservatory. Cost is $16. The estate is at 714 N. Portage Path.

 

Childhood throwback

The Akron Civic Theatre will host Double Dare LIVE! at 8 p.m. Thursday. It is a stage version of the popular Nickelodeon game show. Host Marc Summers and sidekick Robin Russo are back, too. Tickets range from $44.50 to $59.50 at ticketmaster.com.

 

Nature talk

Summit Metro Parks will host a free program at 7 p.m. Thursday titled "Coyotes Among Us." The secret lives of the predators will be explored along with ways humans can coexist with coyotes. The program will be in the visitors center of F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm at 1828 Smith Road in Akron.

 

Flower power

Cherry blossoms take center stage around Barberton's Lake Anna. The community's annual Cherry Blossom Festival runs from Friday through Sunday with a variety of activities, food and fun. The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday. For more, visit barbertoncherryblossom.com.
