MINERVA: Police arrested two Canton men selling heroin to a police informant in a school zone nearly two hours apart late Tuesday night, Stark County Jail records show.
Tevin J. Elmore, 26, of 3121 Glen Place NE, and Conrad D. King Jr., 32, of 633 Alan Page Dr., Apt. 4, were arrested in a fast-food restaurant parking lot along Lincolnway E.
King was arrested at 9:53 p.m. after police seized 1.4 grams of heroin, and Elmore was arrested at 11:39 p.m. after the officers seized another gram of heroin.
Police also took their cellphones, which officers say were used to set up the illegal drug sales.
Elmore is on parole, having been released from prison after serving time for aggravated robbery, according to Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction records.
Stark County court records show both men had been convicted of cocaine possession - King in 2015 and Elmore in 2018.
Each was jailed Tuesday night on felony charges of heroin trafficking and criminal tools possession.
Both remained behind bars Thursday. King was held in lieu of $50,000 bond and Elmore was held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
