Moerlein Lager House is releasing a special raspberry kolsch to help celebrate Cincinnati Pride.
The beer is called Stonewalled and serves as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City, the Cincinnati brewery said. The riots helped launch the gay rights movement in the country.
Moerlein Lager House will tap the beer at 6 p.m. Friday. (June 14) A portion of the sales from the keg tapping will be donated to Cincinnati Pride.
Stonewalled is a traditional, German-style kolsch with raspberry puree. It's 4.5% alcohol by volume. The beer will be available on draft for a limited time.
June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month. Cincinnati Pride will host its annual gathering June 22 at Sawyer Point Park.
