Thirsty Dog Brewing Co. is putting a twist on its popular Bloodhound Orange IPA.

The Akron brewery has aged the beer in rum barrels for four months and will tap the new concoction at 4 p.m. July 11 at the TapHouse in Akron and the East Bank location in Cleveland. Four-packs of 12-ounce bottles also will be available and go for $24.

The beer will be available for the summer only.

The barrel-aged Bloodhound Orange joins several other barrel-aged Thirsty Dog beers in four-packs, including Barrel Aged Siberian Night and Barrel Aged Wulver Wee Heavy.
