A man and woman hiding behind a stack of tires were arrested Sunday night on drug-related charges after they were taken into custody.

Akron police said they responded to a breaking and entering call about 10:30 and found Springfield Township resident Corey J. Frazier, 37, and Akron resident Kathy L. Frazier, 37, in a fenced-in area of Kenmore Tire on Kenmore Boulevard in Akron.

When the two were located, Corey Frazier climbed the fence and was taken into custody. He had methamphetamines in his possession, police said.

Kathy Frazier refused to climb the fence. The Akron Fire Department responded and cut the lock off the front gate. Police say she was found with a backpack containing syringes. She declined to provide her personal information, but police were able to determine her identity.

Corey Frazier was charged with breaking and entering and possession of methamphetamines. Kathy Frazier was charged with breaking and entering, failure to disclose personal information, possession of drug instruments and obstructing official business.

They were booked into the Summit County Jail.
