Earnest Brew Works' new beer celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing will feature — what else — Comet and Apollo hops.
The Toledo brewery will release Sea of Tranquility, a raspberry hazy IPA, in 16-ounce cans starting at 2 p.m. July 20. Four-packs will sell for $15.
The beer, which is 6.9% alcohol by volume, will be distributed to select retail accounts in the area. It also will be available for a limited time on draft at the taproom.
The cans feature a photo of the moon. The name is a nod to the Sea of Tranquility, where the Apollo 11 landed on the moon on July 20, 1969.
"The Sea of Tranquility is the place on the moon that Ohio's very own Neil Armstrong took a small step for man and a giant leap for mankind," Earnest co-founder Scot Yarnell said in an email.
