Fairlawn police say gunshots were fired but nobody was hurt Sunday night near Croghan Park.

Around 7:30 p.m., several 911 callers reported that two men exited a vehicle along North Miller Road and began firing toward the park's west side parking lot before re-entering the vehicle and leaving the area.

Police said they are treating it as an isolated incident but have increased patrols around the park as a precaution.

The 7.5 acre park has basketball, tennis and racquetball courts as well as a large playground, picnic areas and a paved walking trail popular with pet owners, joggers and walkers.

Anyone with information can call the Fairlawn Police Detective Bureau at 330-670-4309.
