Fretboard Brewing will host its inaugural summer festival Aug. 16-17 — an event that will feature the release of a collaboration beer, live music on an outdoor stage and an arm wrestling competition pitting police against firefighters.

The free fest, called "Over the Top Fest," will take place in the Everything But the House Parking lot next to the music-themed brewery in Blue Ash. Fretboard is partnering with Sammy's Craft Burgers & Beers and Operation Give Back to put on the event.

The Friday theme is "Bootsy House Party" and will kick off at 6 p.m. with the release of Bootsy Brewski IPA, a collaboration beer with the Bootsy Collins Foundation. Bootsy will be there for the ceremonial tapping.

Saturday will be a family-friendly day beginning at 1 p.m. with obstacle courses, kids' games, crafts and food. The Cincinnati First Responders Arm Wrestling Tournament begins at 3 p.m.
